Airbus Increases A380′s Price

Airbus on January 18, 2011 has confirmed that it will raise the prices of its aircraft because of the rising cost of production and even and frail dollar value. Airbus is a European aircraft builder that produces commercial aircrafts.

Airbus this year also has the plus point of huge demand for its A380. Airbus is confident that this aircraft will help them to gain some extra money in their pockets. This Double Decker plane has a huge demand and is considered as one of the most reliable luxurious planes of all times.

Mr. John Leahy, chief operating officer, Airbus commented that “the price of airbus aircrafts have been raised by 4.4 percent from this year. A380’s price has been increased by 8.4 percent”.

Mr. John Leahy even said due to the increase in demand for Airbus Aircraft we had to invest more money in order to increase the productivity. This led to increase in prices for Airbus Aircrafts.

Airbus comes under European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co. NV. Airbus spokesperson even commented that airlines are ready to pay extra from their pockets for the outsized aircraft. This Double Decker passenger jets occupies more passengers at a time which enables the airlines to achieve more profit compared to earlier jets.

Mr. John Leahy even said A380 has more demand as the passengers are ready to pay extra for a comfortable and luxurious ride. He admitted that Airbus gives discounts and offers to all as well customers especially to those who place bulk orders. The price list is revised every year. If there is increase in market condition that is if the production cost raises then the companies who have already placed order with Airbus but not yet delivered will have to pay according to the new prices.
