This performance based cars were built for speed car enthusiasts. Muscle car aficionados even are ready to spend any amount for buying this car. Muscle cars have got a great demand in the Used and classic car market. Even though it was equipped with a powerful engine, this car was economically priced. These cars were known for their ultimate speed and stylish bodies.
Oldsmobile 442 1967
This Oldsmobile 442 was the first Muscle Car in the American Muscle Car Industry. General Motors designed the first Muscle car in 1949 ‘Rocket 88 Oldsmobile’. This car inspired many other Car manufacturers to built similar cars that flaunted the large V8 engines. Some of the early Muscle Cars were the Pontiac GTO from 1964 and Oldsmobile 442 of 1967 was the early legends. These cars had a powerful engine with sleek and stylish body which was completely different from cars of that time.
Super Sport Chevrolet Chevelle 1965
In American history a complete new range of cars were built that had a powerful engine and stylish body the Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport from 1965 was a combination of both extreme power and exquisite designs. This Chevrolet Muscle car created a new history with featuring such a large and powerful engine. Earlier speed and power was limited to only the Sports car but with the debut of this car it proved to be a live example of Sports car power at economical price.
Dodge Charger 1966
Dodge Charger manufactured in 1966 was another Muscle car that contributed in creating history for the American Muscle cars. This car was initially produced as a two door coupe muscle car. Dodge car was powered by V8 engine that generated more than 300 hp. This car still has got great demand in the antique cars market. It was even one if the limited cars manufactured by Dodge automakers.
GT 350 Ford Mustang Shelby
This Muscle car was manufactured in 1966. This Ford Muscle Car still is the King of all muscle and classic cars. Generally all the Muscle cars produced from 1964 to 1972 had custom built racing options like Lightweight body, specially altered power plants and sports designed dashboard and gauges. This car was a mid sized and its engine was mated with Manual transmission.
Camaro Z-28
This car was among those cars that represented the Muscle cars in the Muscle car era. Camaro Z28 was manufactured and marketed by Chevrolet.
Ford Torino GT Cobra
This Ford Muscle car was first debuted in 1969. This car was known for its reliable engine and durable body. This car was aimed for combining the biggest powerplant in a coupe body. Another legend of this era was the American Motor Corporation’s AMX this heritage had a 390 cu in, V8 engine under its hood. Both the cars were known for their power based engines.
Oldsmobile Toronado 1966
Toronado from Oldsmobile was another Legend of this decade. It was equipped with a powerful engine which generated 1000 plus hp. host of a popular talk show and celebrity Jay Leno is an antique and classic car collector. He is a proud owner of Tornado.
Dodge Challenger and Shelby Mustang GT were the undisputed leaders that created history now and then.
