Nissan Leaf- First Electric Car At Affordable Price

Nissan motors even after taking an order of 6000 examples in Japan until March for the newly launched Nissan Leaf. Nissan has delivered only 60 examples till Friday.

When asked one of Nissan Representatives denied that there is huge delay in delivering preordered cars. Company representative even commented that “this delay is because of the manufacturer taking extra effort to make sure the quality control is maintained like the other Nissan models.

Yonekawa even commented that “Nissan will deliver more Leaf cars only after Nissan is assured 100 % safety and the best quality car.

Leaf is the first electric mass car that the company is producing in its very own plant. So Nissan is taking complete efforts to check the performance, ride quality, and fuel efficiency of this car.

Yonekawa even commented that Nissan is not at all late on its schedule. It will for sure deliver the preordered cars on time.

Nissan will even increase the manufacturing units if required to deliver all the 6000 Leaf examples on time. The target is to deliver 6000 units by March 31st.

Another key reason behind the delay is the formalities that needed to be completed before launching electric vehicles in the country.

The delay was because the subsidy that should be received from government was delayed. Without this subsidy no car manufacturer can launch any of its cars in Japan.

Even the Japan government is encouraging all car buyers to opt for electric cars and therefore has reduced its price by reducing the tax and other charges on this car.

Nissan Leaf was first debuted on 20th December and was later released after a few days in United States of America. This car was released so as to increase the number of Electric vehicles that which are more environment friendly.

Nissan Leaf is the very first mass produced vehicle that will be soon launched all over the globe.

Nissan when launched created a huge buzz all over the world because it was the first electric small car that was at affordable price and was even environment friendly.

This Nissan Small car even won the European car of the year title. Leaf was the very first electric car to win such a big title. This made it more demanding with an increase in sales all over the globe.

Nissan along with its French joint venture Renault has shown interest in launching more electric cars that will be served all over the globe  by 2014.This is because to increase environment friendly cars on the road. This will increase environment friendly mode of transports.

Nissan is even ready to invest up to 4 millions that comes to $ 5.2 billion for launching many more electric car models.

This news of launching electric cars was leaked to China by Nissan top officials. The 3 officials were then suspended By Nissan.

This car is considered as an economical, low budget car but even though Indian buyers will have to shed extra money from their pocket because of the high Taxes that will be applied on this electric car.
