Peugeot to launch 508 and 3009 in India

Almost every auto giant has been trying to get a grip on India the upcoming luxury automobile market. Many international giants have already laid their hands and are quiet impressed with the response of Indian buyers. With many international auto makers launching their super sports and performance car, Peugeot the French auto giant has decided to lay a hitch on Indian buyers with their super performance cars.
After the recent debut of British Aston Martin and Italian Maserati it’s now Peugeot’s turn and has scheduled to launch Peugeot 508 and Peugeot 3009. Peugeot has even confirmed they are under test for Indian roads and very soon will hit the Indian roads. These acsr are scheduled to be first exported to France in order to enlist these cars in the CBU section. Just like SsangYong Motor the Korean maker Peugeot has also planned to set its CBU plant in India. There have been talks that Peugeot has been looking for land in Tamil Nadu or Andhra Pradesh. This plant ahs been scheduled to launch until 2013 or even before. The two cars that has been planned to launch in India is Peugeot 508 and Peugeot 3009. Peugeot 3009 is an MPV and the company has staed it will prove a tough contender to Chevrolet Captiva and Tata Aria. In French this car is recognized as Peugeot T87. Peugeot 3009 will be debuted in Frankfurt Motor Show in the month of 2011 September.
Peugeot another car that has to be launched in India is 508. this Peugeot is basically a Saloon D+ wagon. This station wagon will prove to be tough contender to Skoda Superb and Honda Accord. With massive power plant and exquisite style feature this car will set Indian roads on Fire. The price of these cars has been expected to be around 20 lakhs. Peugeot has even announced future plans that are after its grand brake in Indian market this French automaker will launch 2, 1.6L petrol cars and 5, 2.0 L diesel car.
